The Stockton Library was built in 1911 by money received from Andrew Carnegie. In 1984 the new Walker Addition to the library was added to the historic Carnegie library funded by money given by Frank and Marvel Walker. Stockton is fortunate to have blended so well the beautiful old structure with a fine modern facility.
The Carnegie building is available for exhibitions and meetings. For example the Parade of Christmas Trees in the Carnegie Room in December is open all month during regular library hours with a special open house on the first Sunday in December (1-3 P.M.)
